Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT) is a university-level institution in the South-East of Ireland with over 10,000 students and 1000 staff. WIT offers tuition and research programs in various areas from National Certificate to PhD level.

The Institute now confers its own awards at all levels from Higher Certificate to PhD, subject to standards set and monitored by the Higher Education and Training Awards Council (HETAC) which was established by the Government in June 2001, under the Qualifications (Education and Training) Act, 1999. The quality and standard of Irish educational awards is fully recognised globally. All Irish awards are included in the national framework of qualifications maintained by the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland.

Chevron Training deliver the BER Building Energy Rating assessors 5 day training course. The company deliver courses every week in Dublin and Cork, and regional courses on a monthly basis. Multimedia Instructional Design developed the on-line version of the course which is delivered through CPD College's framework.
