L04-Debt Collection
The
purpose of this course is to provide a brief summary
of the procedures and rules relating to the debt
collection and in particular the obtaining and
enforcement of judgments. It is not intended to
be an in-depth analysis of the law in relation
to this topic and it does not deal with every
event which can happen during a debt collection
case. At all times, we are presuming a degree
of familiarity with court rules and processes.
However, the foregoing course is for general guidance
only and is no substitute for proper legal advice/analysis
in relation to a particular case.
Although we have endeavoured to outline the legal
processes accurately as of the date of publication,
no responsibility is taken by CPD College, or
any others connected with these materials for
any errors or omissions. In particular, the law
is in somewhat of a state of flux relating to
the area of judgment mortgages with the enactment
of the Land and Conveyancing Law Reform Act 2009,
which after commencement, will significantly amend
the law on these.
